About Me

Hey everyone, what's up? I just wanted to tell you about a couple things about me.

First, I am in NCFCA. That's right, the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association. It's a great opportunity to learn. And great stuff. I mean, you can learn anywhere, from anyone. You learn everything from thinking on your feet, to communicating clearly and effectively, to making new friends. And other things like that. Check it out if you're homeschooled or homeschooling.

I also enjoy writing, and I am writing a book. I should have it available by summer, and when I have it available I will update this part of my blog and post the link. But for now, just know that I like to write.

My favorite quote ever, from Leo Tolstoy:
"A man is a fraction whose numerator is what he is, and whose denominator is what he thinks of himself. The larger the denominator, the smaller the fraction."
Okay, maybe not my favorite, but really high on the list. Isn't it great?

Oh, and by the way, do you know about the butterfly effect? Here's what I know: what you do can affect the rest of the world. Really? Yes. Think about it: you walk outside wearing nice clothes, looking respectable. You walk toward your car and your neighbor walks up to you, asking you why you're dressed up. You tell him it's Sunday, and you're going to Church. The conversation ends there, and you get in your car and drive away.

What did you just do? Let's look at it like this: you affect his mindset toward christians. After all, you were respectful toward him and didn't make fun of him or condemn him for not going to church. You just stated it as a fact. This will change his worldview, if only ever so slightly. But he will think differently. And as the weeks go by, the thinking multiplies itself.

And then think about how this multiplying effect multiplies over a decade. And then a century. That's the butterfly effect. Like I said in one of my posts, it affects voting. And your mindset affects millions. At least, potentially. In theory. And as I said in the post, Andy Andrews wrote a book about it. Read it.

All right, this was like a blog post itself. Sorry about that, but I hope it helped you! Do what, I have no idea. But hey, I bet it helped. Something. Maybe. If not, hey! Maybe you could sue me. Just kidding. Don't do that.

Thanks for reading!
